"Forgive me for all my faults. All of my failings."
The second half of Vikings' fourth season -- which principally seems like a fifth season because of that point bounce on the finish of midseason finale -- kicked issues off with a ragged, regretful Ragnar weighed down by his large failures. "The Outsider" featured the fractured King doing considerably of a (last) apology tour as he visited upon his sons, Floki, and Lagertha in an try and reconnect, as soon as extra, together with his previous earlier than offing himself.
This was a superb strategy to deliver us absolutely, and quietly, into the time bounce. It allowed us to satisfy new characters (some truly new, others new as a result of they're now grown) whereas reflecting upon your complete journey to date. Ragnar's life with Lagertha, his frayed friendship with Floki, the doomed settlement over in Wessex - the breadth of the whole collection so far was on the middle of this one and the concept one is just as beloved as their final triumph, or despised as their final mistake, really hit residence.
