Apple is collecting donations for Harvey storm relief through iTunes

Hurricane Harvey made landfall in Texas yesterday, and whereas the storm has been downgraded to a tropical storm, it’s anticipated to drop as much as 40 inches of rain in the area, which is leading to catastrophic flooding within the space. To assist with the approaching aid efforts, Apple has begun accepting donations for the Purple Cross by means of iTunes.

As with its efforts to collect money for the Southern Poverty Law Center after Charlottesville, Apple has opened a web page on its storefronts that permits customers to make donations in $5, $10, $25, $50, $100, and $200 increments. The web page states that 100 % of proceeds will go to the American Purple Cross, and that private info gained’t be shared with the group.
