LG’s first 4K projector will cost $3,000

LG announced that it was entering the 4K projector space at CES earlier this year with the HU80KA, a diminutive, box-sized projector that can output a 150-inch picture at up to 2,500 lumens of brightness. But if you want to pick one up, it won’t be cheap: LG is announcing that it will cost $3,000 when it launches later this week.

You’re getting what looks like a pretty nice projector for your money, though. In addition to the 4K resolution, there’s support for the HDR10 standard, two built-in 7-watt speakers, optical audio, HDMI, and Bluetooth. The HU80KA also runs LG’s webOS smart TV software, just like its other 4K screens, so you’ll have easy access to all your streaming platforms.
